On differential validity and bias

Abstract

Responds to J. E. Hunter and F. L. Schmidt's criticism (see record 1979-22562-001 ) that the present authors underestimated Type I bias and overestimated Type II bias in their analysis of studies of ethnic differences in employment test validity (see record 1978-02212-001 ).
