Abstract
Assessed the interpersonal values of 79 supervisors (mean age 35.5 yrs) with L. V. Gordon's Survey of Interpersonal Values. Abbreviated scales from the Supervisory Behavior Description Questionnaire of E. A. Fleishman also were administered to obtain measures of consideration and structure behavior. Consideration correlated positively with Benevolence value scores, whereas structure correlated negatively with Independence value scores. This study confirms the findings of E. A. Fleishman and D. R. Peters (see record 1963-07321-001 ) on the relationships between supervisory interpersonal values and leadership patterns and extends these results to a different culture with independent rather than self-report measures of leadership behavior.
