Abstract

Relationships between 2 sets of behaviorally based biodata were defined by canonical correlation analysis. Results indicate that biodata collected from 218 female and 250 male college freshmen accounted for 17% and 12%, respectively, of the variance in independently derived biodata from the same Ss 7 yrs later (the Biographical Questionnaire and the Post College Experience Inventory). Interpretations of the underlying dimensions common to each set of biodata were attempted, and canonical correlations of .64 and .58 for the female sample and .57 and .56 for the male sample were reported.
