Abstract

Studied the influence of job location, starting salary, type of work, and company size in the job choices of 113 business administration students. The method of factorial paired comparisons and a scaling technique which assigned a monetary value to each factor were used. Although an $800 salary differential influenced the job choices more than location, type of work, or company size, all the factors had a highly significant (p < .01) influence and had considerable "trade-off" value.
