Self-esteem as a moderator in vocational choice: Replications and extensions
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1968 · Volume 53 · Issue 3, Pt.1
Abstract
Tested in different types of vocational choice situations the hypothesis that self-esteem operates as a moderator on the vocational choice process in that high self-esteem (HSE) individuals are more likely to seek self-fulfillment than are low self-esteem (LSE) individuals. 4 separate studies supported the proposition.
