Changes in authorship, affiliation and research support patterns of Journal of Applied Psychology articles, 1917-1969

Abstract

Analyzed articles from the journal of applied psychology in regard to variables of multiple authorship, funding sources cited by authors, and author affiliations. The sample of 729 articles consisted of every 5th article appearing in the journal from 1917-1969. Results indicate trends toward increased multiple authorship, more extensive and diverse funding, and changes in the nature of author affiliations.
