Abstract
Describes the development and construct validation of the Organization Description Questionnaire designed to measure various internal organizational and managerial practices. 290 managerial and technical employees in 1 plant were used as respondents in the study. 8 of 19 scales were validated against 8 criterion variables measuring role stress, satisfaction, and leader behavior. An adaptation of D. T. Campbell and D. W. Fiske's (see record 1960-00103-001 ) validation technique was used in which the 8 organization scales were paired with 8 criterion counterparts. 4 tests of convergent and discriminant validity are described and applied. The majority of scales met requirements for validity under the adapted technique. (16 ref.) (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
