Abstract

Conducted a study of 111 male and 106 female adult residents of London, Ontario, to determine the incremental contribution of personality characteristics for predicting product usage level after considering the variance accounted for by socioeconomic variables. Ss were administered the Neuroticism scale of the MPI, the Femininity scale of the CPI, and 7 scales of the Personality Research Form. Results indicate that personality characteristics contributed substantially to the prediction for the male but not for the female sample. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
