Abstract
Compared the results of independent hierarchical factor analyses of 2 administrations of the same employee attitude questionnaire in the same company to similar employee populations that were 10 yrs apart in time. The factors were compared using Tucker's method of factor comparison. A general factor, 2 3rd-order, 4 2nd-order, and 17 1st-order factors emerged in each analysis. The factor structure showed a remarkable stability with only 3 of the Tucker coefficients below .80 for the 1st-order factors. The implications for employee attitude measurement are discussed.
