The comparative effectiveness of animated and static transparencies
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1958 · Volume 43 · Issue 1
Abstract
It was predicted that "training effectiveness of animated devices would be a positive function of the number of moving parts in the devices." Results of the 2 paper and pencil tests relevant to function and nomenclature indicate no greater effectiveness for animated than for static transparencies. "However, the performance tests results did show that the animated transparencies were more effective training devices than were the statics."
