An operational test of laboratory determined optima of screen brightness and ambient illumination for radar reporting rooms

Abstract

Laboratory experiments showing that the visibility of targets on a radar display is affected by bias of the CRT, and not impaired under ambient illumination up to a level of 0.1 ft.-candle, were tested under operational conditions.
