Abstract
If aircraft are painted according to a visual code to designate front from rear and top from bottom, will this help pilots avoid collisions with other aircraft? "Six experienced pilots completed a total of 144 training and practice problems and 288 test problems." Assimulated situations involved closed circuit TV were used. The visual coding did not help.
