Abstract

Reviews the book, "The college board: its first fifty years," by Claude M. Fuess (see record 1951-03418-000 ). The reviewer notes that this book provides an intimate, detailed, and highly readable account of the first fifty years of the Board's organization, plans, and work. The book will be of more interest to educators than to psychologists. There are nine chapters in the book. The style of Dr. Fuess's book, unlike that of many books in the field of education, makes for pleasurable, as well as profitable, reading. The book will be of interest and help to all who wish to have at hand a lively and accurate record of the first fifty years of an influential organization that has served institutions well and that may be expected to provide continued leadership and service of a higher order in the years to come.
