Abstract

Responds to K. Eells' commentary (see record 2005-12024-001 ) on the author's review (see record 2005-12021-003 ) of Eells' book (see record 1953-05738-000 ). The burden of his present comment regarding the current author's review appears to be twofold: (1) I made no significant favorable comment in my review; and (2) I have criticized him and particularly his co-authors not only for the design and interpretation of his study but also for their interpretations and treatment of the general problem toward which his research was directed as a specific study. The author notes that Q. McNemar's recent and independent review of the same book (see record 2005-10524-008 ) raised some of the same criticisms that seemed worth noting to him, and in addition raised a few other objections that, regrettably, escaped him.
