Review of Psychobiology and Psychiatry. A Textbook of Normal and Abnormal Human Behavior

Abstract
Reviews the book, Psychobiology and Psychiatry. A Textbook of Normal and Abnormal Human Behavior by Wendell Muncie (1939). It is contended that Adolf Meyer has been long recognized as America's foremost psychiatrist. Unfortunately Dr. Meyer has not found it possible to write a systematic treatise himself. Of the several attempts made by his students and fellow workers, this volume by Dr Muncie is by far the best. The book is divided into four parts: (1) psychobiology--the study of normal behavior; (2) abnormal behavior--pathology and psychiatry, (3) treatment; and (4) historical survey. The reviewer suggests that this volume should be in the working library of every psychological clinic. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
