Review of Human Relations in Supervision
Journal of Applied Psychology · Volume 37 · Issue 1
Abstract
Reviews the book Human Relations in Supervision by W.E. Parker and R.W. Kleemeier (see record 1952-03634-000 ). This book is directed specifically to the first-line supervisor, because the establishment of good human relations in any organization stands or falls upon the skill of these supervisors in dealing with human problems. In general, the authors have succeeded in keeping the material at this level, employing many anecdotes, illustrations, and case studies in their attempt to relate human relations principles to the everyday experience of supervisors. The reviewer makes several suggestions for improvements but concludes that the authors have done a good job in assembling materials for a human relations course for men at supervisory levels.
