Abstract

Reviews the book, Social Psychology of Modern Life by Stewart Henderson Britt (see record 1941-03064-000 ), stating that the work is voluminous, "so much so in fact that, despite the nearly 600 pages, many topics are little more than mentioned in passing." The outstanding characteristics are three: It either discusses or touches upon a wide range of material, it is written in an exceptionally interesting style and it contains a great deal in the way of examples, illustrations of facts and principles, and applications drawn from ordinary life situations.
