Scores on the Strong Vocational Interest Blank and the Kuder Preference Record in relation to self ratings
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1949 · Volume 34 · Issue 1
Abstract
For 500 men, scores on the Kuder tended to have a closer relationship to self rating of interest than scores on the Strong. Correlations approximated .50. The men found it difficult to estimate scientific interests, as measured by the tests, but they estimated persuasive and sales interests better. The relationship between measured and self-estimated interests is such that both types must be considered in counseling. 18 references. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
