An analysis of the Young-Estabrooks studiousness scale
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1936 · Volume 21 · Issue 3
Abstract
"By way of summary, we may conclude that for these two small samples of students, studiousness does make a small unique contribution to the correlation with college scholarship of tests of scholastic aptitude for one group but not for the other group. Moreover, this contribution does not have weight equal to that of high school scholarship. The studiousness score adds nothing to the correlation between high school and college scholarship."
