Abstract
This study was conducted in an attempt to determine how tracking accuracy varies with brightness of target area, width of target, and with changes in the pattern of the target and cursor. Results showed that the pattern relations of target and cursor are related to accuracy of visual tracking. Illumination level of target and cursor affects accuracy in tracking. An increase in the width of the target produces no marked change in the level of tracking accuracy. Targets some 30 times the width of the controlled cursor are tracked with almost the same accuracy as targets equal to the width of the cursor.
