Abstract

75% of a sample of urban adults indicated they were opposed to Socialism. However, when questioned about certain planks of the Socialist Party platform which have been put into practice by the government, the principles were not regarded as steps toward Socialism and were favored by a majority of those adults who said they opposed Socialism in the United States.
