An analysis of absenteeism in one war plant
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1944 · Volume 29 · Issue 1
Abstract
Absenteeism of 280 men and 470 women employees in a war plant was studied in regard to age, length of service, and sex. Due to the sex variable, the women of every age group, service group, and department had two to four times greater absenteeism than the men. Age groups showed few differences.
