Vocational interests of Naval Aviation Cadets

Abstract

The Kuder Preference Record was administered to 651 entering Naval Aviation Cadets, 137 voluntary withdrawals from training, and 137 "successful" cadets. Results indicated that entering cadets have interest patterns different from a vocationally unselected group, that the voluntary withdrawals differ in interests from successful cadets, and that the interest pattern of voluntary withdrawals differs from that of the group eliminated from the Air Force during World War II.
