Abstract

A448-item questionnaire, the "Home Economics Interest Inventory" was mailed to 1884 professional home economists and returned by 1175 of them. Responses to individual items by persons in ten occupational groups were analyzed using a chi-square technique to determine which items differentiated among occupational groups. 92% of the 448 items were significant, and items were selected for 10 scoring keys.
