A psychological study of occupational adjustment
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1951 · Volume 36 · Issue 6
Abstract
This paper reports the relationships found between personality variables and occupational adjustment in a sample of 80 male unskilled factory workers. Personality variables were derived from a factor analysis of the intercorrelations between 22 individually-administered objective tests. 2 occupational criteria were specially prepared for the investigation; one was a measure of productivity, the other of the extent to which men were a source of concern to their supervisors. Some significant relationships were found and are discussed briefly from various points of view. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
