Selection of casualty and life insurance agents
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1940 · Volume 25 · Issue 1
Abstract
A combination of the scores on two of the vocations of Strong's Vocational Interest Blank, life and real estate salesman, and personal data were found to give a better prediction of success in the selling of casualty insurance than the Bernreuter Personality Inventory or a mental alertness test. The addition of the interest blank ratings in purchasing agent, clerk, and lawyer increased the forecasting efficiency of the predictor battery.
