Standardization of a test of hand strength

Abstract

"A test procedure for the hand dynamometer was developed which is satisfactory for inclusion in a battery of performance tests. In this procedure, S squeezes the dynamometer every three seconds, starting with a grip of 27 kg. and increasing his grip 3 kg. with each subsequent attempt. The test continues until he is unable to achieve a level required, the score being the highest level reached… .
