Abstract

A scoring key for self confidence was developed on the Jurgenson Classification Inventory using a self rating blank of self confidence as the criterion. The Inventory was given to a new group twice, first with standard instructions, then with instructions to try to get a good score on self confidence. The mean increase for the group was 12.8 points, which is significant at the .01 confidence level. The correlation between these two sets of data was .17. The retest reliability correlation of the rating blank was .91. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
