Predicting success of students in veterinary medicine
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1951 · Volume 36 · Issue 5
Abstract
20 variables were studied to determine their effectiveness in predicting grades earned by first year students in veterinary medicine. Total honor-point-ratio in pre-veterinary course work, the veterinarian scale on the Strong Vocational Interest Blank and the pre-veterinary achievement test of the Iowa State College Veterinary Aptitude test were combined in the final regression equation and yielded a coefficient of multiple correlation of .60.
