Abstract

Industrial aptitude tests utilizing apparatus are reviewed. Recent trends are indicated as well as several reasons for the low validity of employment tests. Nonrepetitive, highly skilled jobs require batteries or complex tests for evaluative measures as against simple, manipulative tests for unskilled repetitive jobs. A bibliography of 47 items is appended. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
