Abstract
The Pre-Engineering Inventory is a battery of 7 objective tests designed for the selection and guidance of students in engineering schools. Correlation coefficients obtained from data on freshman classes in 12 schools between composite Inventory score and first-term grades ranged from .38 to .68. Reliability data, results of further validity studies, and the relationship between Inventory scores, course grades, and the Engineering Achievement Test are given.
