The validity of personality inventories in the selection of employees

Abstract

Reports of findings concerning the validity of personality inventories in various job groupings were searched. Mean validity coefficients, numbers of cases, and ranges of r 's are reported for eight job groupings, and these are discussed with reference to the usefulness of personality with reference to the usefulness of personality inventories for selection. 21 references.
