A 3 by 3 analysis of the predictive value of test scores
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1943 · Volume 28 · Issue 4
Abstract
In studying prediction of achievement in academic subjects from ACE results, performance grades and test scores were divided into three groups. This allowed for a comparison, by cells, of each group of achievement grades with the test-score groupings. It is asserted that, although the coefficient of correlation between test scores and grades may be low, useful counseling information can be obtained.
