Abstract

102 male and 72 female students in psychology at the University of Minnesota were given a battery of 3 tests: the Bennett, Form AA, the Minnesota Clerical, and the Terman-Miles Attitude-Interest Analysis Test, Form B. Results showed that men as a group perform significantly better than women on the Bennett, while women are significantly better than men on the clerical test. For a mixed-sex group, the Bennett Mechanical test predicts Terman-Miles M-F as well as or better than it does most mechanical criteria. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
