Abstract

A representative sample of 389 airmen in a USAF Training Command who had been assigned to training in technical schools were the subjects. The intercorrelations of scores on 19 tests that had been given to them before assignment were used in a factor-analysis study. The validity coefficient for each test was also obtained. The purpose of the study was to point out the possibilities in analyzing criteria as a method for better understanding the variance in technical training course grades and other proficiency criteria. An ideal setup is proposed. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
