Abstract

A committee was trained in job analysis and job evaluation and in the use of the Occupational Characteristics Check List. When applied to 53 main office jobs in a woman's specialty chain by the committee, the OCCL scores correlated .74 with total evaluated points for the job based on responsibility, and training and experience. Further development and appraisal of the check list system as a shorter method of job evaluation is recommended. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
