Abstract

The Occupational Level (OL) Key of the Strong Interest Blank was investigated as a possible measure of an individual's drive to scholastic success. 3 techniques were used to measure the drive of 60 high school boys in various situations—a teacher's rating, a "guess-who" questionnaire, and an open end interview. Using Chi Square, the relationships between these 3 measures and the OL scores were significant at the 1% level of confidence. However, no relationship was shown to exist between OL scores and high school academic grade averages. 6 references. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
