Abstract

"A sample of 181 males who had completed Strong's Vocational Interest Blank as high school seniors were retested two years later as college students. Using Kendall's coefficient of concordance, W, as a measure of… relationship . . coefficients were computed for each of the 181 pairs of profiles. When those individuals with high (N=60), average (N=61), and low (N=60) W values were compared with respect to Interest Maturity score on the first test, they were found to be homogeneous. Thus, the results… do not support the assumption of a positive relationship between interest stability and Interest Maturity score." (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
