Abstract
The Jurgensen Job Preference Blank was administered to several samples of employees in two department stores. In one sample of 39 it was re-administered after a lapse of two weeks. Data are presented in the form of tables showing the rank of each job preference factor for men and for women; the correlations between the test and retest rankings; and the consistency of individual job preference rankings. "Security" was ranked first by both sexes, and "benefits" was ranked last. Reasons for differences in rankings by individuals are offered, and the need for further research is suggested.
