Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to take the first step in an attempt to determine the correlation between a standard vision test (in this case the Ortho-Rater) and tachistoscopic scores. In this study the correlation obtained was .68 ± .05. Inasmuch as the sample used was undoubtedly biased, however, the actual value of the correlation seems open to doubt.
