Abstract

Reviews the book, Humanizing education by Samuel D. Schmalhausen (1926). This is a series of essays, or tirades, on current educational practices the underlying theme of which seems to be "Whatever is, is wrong." An appended "Psycho-biography" tells the reader of the author's difficulties in securing a publisher and reveals to one with slight training in abnormal psychology, the real reason for the book.
