Abstract
Reviews the book, The Treatment of Behavior Disorders Following Encephalitis: An Experiment in Re-Education by Earl D. Bond and Kenneth E. Appel (see record 1931-03444-000 ). In this short volume the authors give an account of experiments in re-educating children who were suffering from behavior disorders following encephalitis. The experiments took place in the Pennsylvania Hospital. Forty-eight such children were involved and also a group of fourteen problem children who served as controls. The period covered by the report extends from the founding of the class in December, 1924 to January, 1930. Those interested in problem children will find the book interesting, candid, and decidedly helpful. It is a worthy addition to an inadequate literature on the subject.
