Abstract

Reviews The Picture Completion Test by Rudolph Pintner and Margaret M. Anderson (1917). This monograph describes the method of standardizing Healy's Picture Completion Test (The Farm-yard) on the basis of results from over fifteen hundred subjects varying in age from 5 years to adulthood. Healy's instructions were used and "an exact record kept of every move made by the examinee" as well as of the time required for completing the test. As compared with other ways of scoring the new method enables one to make much finer differentiations and to obtain truer values. The more or less uniform increase in the median number of units scored from year to year makes the test appear of much significance and greatly enhances the value of the author's work in standardizing this important test.
