Abstract
Describes (1) a group test of intelligence to be used in school surveys and applicable from the fourth to the eight grade (2) a supplementary scale for use from kindergarten to the third grade and (3) a group scale for measuring emotional interests. 850 school children from grades four to twelve were given the Survey Scale Unit E,consisting of four tests. It was found valuable for comparing classes, schools, communities and other groups. 470 Ss from grades one to three were given Survey Scale Unit F, also consisting of four tests. This was a non-verbal scale. Results showed a correlation between general ability and performance on these scales. Describes the development and standardization of these two scales. Concludes that group tests should be used not as a means of diagnosis but as a means of investigation. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
