Journal of Applied Psychology · 1916 · Volume 1 · Issue 3
Abstract
Focuses on the application of psychology in business and industry. Discusses the following six issues which were related to the individual and his work: (1) lack of understanding regarding the law of reward (2) absence of standards by which individuals can compare themselves (3) lack of knowledge of the methods through which latent leadership qualities may be developed (4) lack of information about history and how civilization developed (5) lack of civic vision among workers as well as executives (6) lack of an equitable system to insure a just distribution of rewards. Suggests various ways in which psychology may be applied to resolve the above issues. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
