Mental test findings with Armenian, Turkish, Greek and Bulgarian subjects
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1928 · Volume 13 · Issue 3
Abstract
Using the Otis Self-Administering Test of Mental Ability (Higher Examination, Form B) with 120 subjects of the sophomore, junior and senior classes in the Constantinople Woman's College the writer found the students of different nationalities to rank according to IQ in the following order: (1) Bulgarians, (2) Turks, (3) Armenians, and (4) Greeks, with a median IQ of 95 for the group as a whole. A thorough testing program is needed in order to establish norms for this group of students, since they suffer from handicaps in language and training and consequently cannot be compared on the basis of this test with American students.
