Abstract
The study was undertaken to supply statistical basis for the truth or falsity of the theory and practice of character analysis. Some of the conclusions are: (1) The ratings of close associates are reliable. (2) The physical factors purporting to measure the same trait do not present even a suspicion of agreement. (3) The correlation between ratings of casual observers and physical measurements is best represented by 0.000. (4) The correlation between close associates and physical measurements is best represented by 0.000. (5) Physical measurements which underlie character analysis agree neither with themselves nor with other measures of character. From Psych Bulletin 22:03:00325.
