Abstract

Reviews the book by Terman, Lewis M. (published in 1916). The book discusses the existence of individual differences in the levels of intelligence in school education and the importance of identifying children according to the grades of intelligence. In many cases the average child did not test 'at age' on the Binet-Simon Scale. To remedy this, the Stanford Revision of the scale based on the examination of 2,300 Ss was proposed. The classification of 1Q was also suggested. The book gives a guide for the use of the Stanford revision and extension, instructions for administering and scoring the tests at each age level. Psychological training is not considered essential to use this scale. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
