The relative legibility of linotyped and typewritten material
Journal of Applied Psychology · 1933 · Volume 18 · Issue 5
Abstract
Linotyped samples are read a little faster than typewritten on 7-point material; the reverse was found on 10-point material. The differences were not statistically significant for a group of 685 college students using the Michigan Speed of Reading tests in a ten-minute test period.
