Abstract

Describes a case of a 15 yr old boy who showed a proper intellectual development despite his disrupted childhood. Despite a lack of information and of training, the S obtained a mental age of 16.0 on the Yerkes-Bridges Point Scale and a mental age of 15 yrs on the Stanford revision of the Binet Scale. Other tests also revealed a normal intellectual development. Concludes that, in this case, lack of school education, of home training and of normal intercourse with other children had not prevented a normal rating on intelligence scales.
